How do you wash a down comforter?
Machine wash
Wash only in exceptional cases and then with down detergent. Our duvets can be washed at 30 degrees Celsius, making them suitable even for allergy sufferers. After washing, it is important to dry the duvet thoroughly in a tumble dryer, preferably with tennis balls. This takes time, but it is crucial that the duvet is completely dry, otherwise the down can clump, and the duvet may lose its fluffiness.
Dry cleaning
Dry cleaning is also an option for our duvets.
Shake & air
By shaking and airing your duvet regularly (preferably in sub-zero temperatures), it stays fresh for a long time. When the duvet is shaken and aired, the down and feathers straighten out, regain their resilience, and regain the natural properties that make the duvet incredibly fluffy.
How do you store a down duvet/down pillow?
Store duvet and pillows in a dry place, preferably in the dust bag provided with the duvet. Air (or wash if necessary) duvet and pillows before storing them away for the season. Make sure they are completely dry, fold them up and reunite when autumn arrives. Vacuum-packing duvets or pillows is not allowed, as the feathers may risk being damaged.
Do your duvets come in king size?
Regarding our Megafluff duvet, the answer is no. If we were to make a larger duvet with the same ratio of filling that is needed for the legendary Megafluff feeling.
